No longer do we have to depend on the things of the world to give us a sense of identity. Settle in as we explore the transformative power of understanding who we are in Christ. In our latest episode, we discovered our true worth and created a tranquil space for reflection and we guided you through calming breathwork and muscle relaxation techniques to prepare your heart for a profound spiritual encounter. This time let's discover the power of  Psalms 139:14 and 1 Peter 2:9, where we will uncover the unique design and divine purpose woven into each of us by our Creator, inviting gratitude for being wonderfully made.

As we navigate the conversation, we affirm that our true essence lies not in accolades or external validations but in the spiritual reality of our identity in Christ. Let the affirmations of love and acceptance from God envelop your being, reminding you that your worth is defined by His grace and calling. Join us in claiming your place in God’s royal priesthood and carrying His light into the world, anchoring yourself in the everlasting truth that you are His beloved child. This episode isn't just a moment of relaxation; it's a journey to the core of your spiritual identity.

Pastor Robert Young:

Welcome to today's meditation with our focus on your identity in Christ. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes and take a deep breath in for a count of seven. Hold the breath for a count of seven, slowly exhale for a count of seven. Now that you are familiar with our muscle relaxation exercise, let's perform muscle relaxation by simply tensing each muscle group for three seconds and then releasing the muscle. Remember, don't hold your breath for this portion of the meditation. Begin with the calves Lightly tense the calf muscles for a count of three, now release. Moving upward to the hamstring, quads and glutes, lightly tense for three seconds and release. Moving to the chest and back areas, lightly tense for three seconds and release. Finally, moving to the arms and shoulders, lightly tense these muscle groups for three seconds, now release.

Pastor Robert Young:

Reflect on Psalms 139, verse 14, which says I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I know that full well. This verse reminds us that God created each of us uniquely and with purpose. Take a moment to thank him for designing you just the way you are.

Pastor Robert Young:

Now let's think about 1 Peter, 2, verse 9, which says, but you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession that you may declare the praises of him. This verse reveals that, as believers, we have been chosen by God and set apart for his glory. Reflect on the fact that you a member of God's royal priesthood, called to bring his light into this world. As you meditate on these truths, remember that your identity is not based on your popularity on social media, your accomplishments, your appearance, not even the acceptance of others. Your identity is rooted in Christ, who has redeemed you and called you his own. Take a few moments to rest in this truth, letting the reality of your identity in Christ sink deep into your soul. Allow yourself to fully embrace the love and acceptance that God freely offers you as his beloved child. As you continue on your journey of faith, may you always remember who you are in Christ, fearfully and wonderfully made, chosen and set apart for his glory. Amen you.
