Pastor Robert Young:

Welcome to this guided Christian meditation on God Desires Relationship. Our main scripture is from Romans, chapter 5, verse 8. But first let's enter into worship by focusing on Psalms 100, verse 4, where it tells us to enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.

Pastor Robert Young:

Take a moment to lift up your voice in praise and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, who is worthy of all honor and glory.

Pastor Robert Young:

Before we start to reflect on the scriptures, let's get a little bit more centered, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths as you invite the presence of God to fill you. Now take a few deep breaths in for a count of seven. Hold the breath for a count of five and slowly exhale for a count of seven. Repeat the exercise.

Pastor Robert Young:

Let's begin our muscle relaxation exercise by simply tensing each muscle group for three seconds and then releasing the muscle. Remember, don't hold your breath for this portion of the meditation. Begin with the calves Lightly tense the calf muscles for a count of three and release. Moving upward to the hamstrings, quads and glutes, lightly tense for three seconds and release. Moving to the chest and back area, lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Finally, moving to the arms and the shoulders, lightly tense these muscle groups for three seconds. Now release

In the book of Romans, chapter 5, verse 8. It says but God demonstrated his own love for us in this While we were still sinners. Christ died for us. This verse reminds us that God's love for us is not based on our performance, our worthiness. We could be in relationship with him, as it says in the book of John, chapter 3, verse 16. For God loves us so

Pastor Robert Young:

Reflect on the truth that God desires to have a personal relationship with you. You don't have to be perfect or have it all together for God to love you unconditionally. Take a moment to thank God for his unconditional love and grace. Reflect on any thoughts or feelings you may have

about this truth. Allow yourself to bask in the warmth of his love and forgiveness. Ask for and accept his forgiveness. Now. Listen for God's voice speaking to your heart. What is he saying

few moments to listen to his gentle promptings.

Pastor Robert Young:

As you continue to reflect on God's desire for a personal relationship with you, remember that his love is unending and unchanging. You are his beloved child, valued and cherished beyond measure. Rest in this truth and allow it to wash over you, renewing your spirit and restoring your soul. Repeat this affirmation for the next seven days. I am a child of God because of his unending love for me. Again, I am a child of God because of his unending love for me. Take the next 60 seconds to silently sit in the presence of God, allowing his love to fill your heart and soul. Thank you. When you're ready, slowly open your eyes and carry this awareness of God's unconditional love with you throughout your day and the week, knowing that he is always with you, guiding and sustaining you in his unfailing love. Amen, thank you.
