Pastor Robert Young:

Welcome to this week's Guided Christian Meditation on, Love is an Action Word. Our scripture is from Matthew, chapter 28, verse 19. But first let's enter into worship by focusing on Psalms 100, verse 4, where it tells us to enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.

Pastor Robert Young:

Take a moment to lift up your voice in praise and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, who is worthy of all honor and glory.

Pastor Robert Young:

Before we start to reflect on the scriptures, et's get a little bit more centered. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths as you invite the presence of God to fill you. Now take a few deep breaths in for a count of seven. Hold the breath for a count of five and slowly exhale for a count of seven. Repeat the exercise.

Pastor Robert Young:

Let's begin our muscle relaxation exercise by simply tensing each muscle group for three seconds and then releasing the muscle. Remember, don't hold your breath for this portion of the meditation. Begin with the calves ightly tense the calf muscles for a count of three. Now release. Moving upward to the hamstrings, quads and the glutes, lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Moving to the chest and back areas Lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Finally, moving to the arms and the shoulders, lightly tense these muscle groups for three seconds, now release

Let's begin to focus on Matthew, chapter 28, verse 16 through 20, where it says Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him, but some doubted. When they saw him, they worshipped him, but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said All authority in heaven and

always, to the very end of the age.

Pastor Robert Young:

Imagine Jesus coming to you right now and asking you to go forth and tell the people in your circle of influence about how you have. know and love Jesus. Picture yourself joyfully telling family or friends about being in and being filled with his joy, joy that doesn't depend on everything going right in your life, the joy that cannot be explained human intellect. Now take a deep breath in and receive his strength to be able to complete this honorable loving command. Repeat this affirmation now and every day for the next seven days. Thank you, god, for the strength and joy for telling someone about your love for us.

Pastor Robert Young:

Again, thank you, god, for the strength and joy for telling someone about your love for us. As you continue to breathe deeply, take two minutes and reflect on God loving us so much that he would give his only son for us. Reflect on the fact that you will tell someone else about God's love and the heavenly love and earthly difference this will make in their lives. Thank you, thank you. Now slowly open your eyes and exhale the calming yet energizing power of God in your life, knowing that he is always with you. Amen, thank you.
