Pastor Robert Young:

Pastor Robert Young:

Today's meditation is entitled Prayer for a Sensitive Heart. Our scripture is from Matthew, chapter 24, verse 12. Proper worship of God requires us to be completely involved and free from sin in mind, body and spirit.

Pastor Robert Young:

Let's prepare our hearts by repenting of any known sin that might be in our lives. Now we can enter into worship of our Heavenly Father by focusing on Psalms 100, verses 1-3, where it tells us to hout for joy to the Lord all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness, Come before him with joyful songs. Take a moment to lift up your voice in praise and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, who is worthy of all honor and glory all honor and glory.

Pastor Robert Young:

Before we start to reflect on Matthew, chapter 24, verse 12, let's prepare our minds by closing our eyes and taking a deep breath as we invite the presence of God to fill us. Take a deep breath in for a count of seven. Hold the breath for a count of five and slowly exhale for a count of seven. Repeat this process.

Pastor Robert Young:

Now let's prepare our body with muscle relaxation exercises. We will simply tense each muscle group for three seconds and then release the muscle. As always, don't hold your breath for this portion of the meditation. Let's begin with the calf muscles. Lightly tense the calf muscles for a count of three, now release. Moving upward to the hamstrings, quads, glutes and abs, Lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Moving to the chest and the back area, lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Finally, moving to the arms and the shoulders, lightly tense these muscle groups for three seconds, now release.

Pastor Robert Young:

Now that we've prepared our mind, our body and our spirit, let's begin to think about Matthew, chapter 24, verse 12, where it says Because of the increase in wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Whether we are in the last days that this passage in Matthew speaks of, We can all see that we live in wicked times. This passage talks about people's hearts growing insensitive to sin and other wicked happenings at that time. look the other way and start to adopt the ways of the world. We, however, are called to stand firm in our faith and devotion to God.

Pastor Robert Young:

Let's take one minute to really check our behaviors about the following questions, and then an additional minute or so to listen intently to the prompting from God as he speaks to our hearts. The questions are:

Pastor Robert Young:

1. Do I long for a righteous nation or am I just surviving till the end? 2

Pastor Robert Young:

2have I gotten caught up in some of the wicked ways of this world

Pastor Robert Young:

Thank you, thank you Repeat the following affirmation now and for the next seven days. Now and for the next seven days. Thank you, Lord, for creating a clean heart and renewing a right spirit in me. Again, thank you, Lord, for creating a clean heart and renewing a right spirit in me. Picture yourself longing for the unsaved to know Jesus is saving grace. Picture yourself telling others about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Our assignment for this week listen to this meditation daily until it becomes permanent in your spirit. Know that God is ready to cleanse your heart as you continue to acknowledge his everlasting love for you through his son, Jesus Christ. Amen, Thank you you.
