During the month of December. et's turn our focus on the reason for the season Jesus Christ. Today's meditation is entitled God's Love in Action. Our scripture is from John 3.16. Our scripture is from John 3.16.
Pastor Robert Young:But first, proper worship of God requires us to be completely involved and free from sin in mind, body and spirit. Let's prepare our hearts by asking God to forgive us of sin that might be in our lives.
Pastor Robert Young:Now we can enter into worship of our Heavenly Father by focusing on Psalms, chapter 100, verses 1 through 3, where it tells us to shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness, come before him with joyful songs.
Pastor Robert Young:Let's take a moment to lift up our voice in praise and thanksgiving, especially during this time, to our Heavenly Father, who is worthy of all honor and glory.
Pastor Robert Young:Before we start to reflect on John, chapter 3, verse 16, let's prepare our mind by closing our eyes and taking a deep breath, as w, for a count of seven, hold the breath for a count of five and slowly exhale for a count of seven. Now repeat.
Pastor Robert Young:Now let's prepare our body with muscle relaxation exercises. We will simply tense each muscle group for three seconds and then release the muscle. As always, don't hold your breath for this portion of the meditation Musi. Let's begin with the calf muscles. Lightly tense the calf muscles for a count of three, now release. Moving upward to the hamstrings, the quads and the glutes Lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Moving to the abdominals, chest and back areas Lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Finally, moving to the arms and shoulders Lightly tense for three seconds, now release, now

That he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believed in him are: not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world, through him, might be saved. In this
Pastor Robert Young:passage we see that God's love for mankind was so strong that he provided the greatest of all remedies to bridge the divide between mankind having a fellowship with the creator. That remedy was his only son, jesus Christ.
Pastor Robert Young:God wants a fellowship and relationship with his creation. Jesus Christ is the only way to that fellowship.
Pastor Robert Young:Let's take one minute to really examine our way of thinking about the following questions, and one minute to listen intently to the prompting from God as he speaks to our hearts. The questions are one do I desire a relationship with God or just the benefits of God? Two .
Pastor Robert Young:put my love for God in action? The Thank you, thank you.
Pastor Robert Young:Repeat the following affirmation now and for the next seven days Thank you, lord, for making it possible for a relationship with you through Jesus Christ. Again, thank you, lord, for making it possible for a relationship with you through Jesus Christ. Now, imagine yourself thinking of God as a perfect father. Imagine talking to God about his goodness. Our assignment for this week Listen to this meditation daily until it becomes permanent in your spirit, and trust that God will stir the desire in your heart and mind to want to know him more, and all the eternal joy that comes with it.
