Pastor Young:

Welcome to this week's Guided Christian Meditation. I am your host, pastor Robert Young, and thank you for allowing me to be your guide on this journey. Today's meditation is entitled God has a Plan for you in 2025. Our scripture is from Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11. But first, proper worship of God requires us to be completely involved and free sin in mind, body and spirit. Let's prepare our hearts by asking God to forgive us of sin that might be in our lives, by reciting Psalms 51, 1-4. It says have mercy upon me, o God, according to thy lovingkindness, according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions, wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin, for I acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me. Before we start to reflect on Jeremiah 29, verse 11, let's prepare our mind by closing our eyes and taking a deep breath as we invite the presence of God to fill us. Now take a deep breath in for a count of seven. Hold the breath for a count of five and slowly exhale for a count of seven. Repeat the exercise. Now.

Pastor Young:

Let's prepare our body with muscle relaxation exercises. We will simply tense each muscle group for three seconds and then release the tension from that muscle. Remember, don't hold your breath for this portion of the meditation. Let's begin with the calf muscles, lightly tense for a count of three, now release. Let's move upwards to the hamstrings, the quads and the glutes, lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Moving to the abdominals, chest and back area, lightly tense for three seconds, now release. Finally, moving to the arms and shoulders, lightly tense for three seconds, now release.

Pastor Young:

Now we can enter into worship of our Heavenly Father by focusing on Psalms 100, verses 1-3, where it tells us to Shout for joy to the Lord all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness, come before him with joyful songs. Take a moment to lift up your voice in praise and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, who is worthy of all honor and glory.

Pastor Young:

Now that we have prepared our mind, our bodies and our spirit, let's begin to ponder on Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11, where it says For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you.

Pastor Young:

This passage speaks to the Israelites about their exile and the comfort that God, the Father, would bring them. It speaks of when they call upon God with their whole heart that he would hear and bring them back from captivity. This principle of giving your whole being to seeking God for the purpose of relationship with him and God hearing it runs throughout the Bible. Whether it's captivity to another nation, to sin or to thinking like the world thinks, God is ready to bring us back to himself. In 2025, if we will seek him with all our heart, he will give us the plan, his plan and his definition of success for our lives.

Pastor Young:

Let's take two minutes to really reflect on the following questions: The

Pastor Young:

questions are 1. What held me captive in 2024 and away from totally seeking God? 2. Am I willing to give it up to regain a full fellowship with God? Thank

Pastor Young:

Repeat the following affirmation, now and for the next seven days. "my soul longs for fellowship with God the Father. Again, my soul longs for fellowship with God the Father.

Pastor Young:

Imagine walking toward the best, most fulfilling plan for your life, based on the real you, the you that God created. Imagine the complete joy that would flow through you as you walk in God's plan for your life.
